Training Options

The Pathways to Resilience Trust provides training in Fun Friends, FRIENDS for Life (Child) and My FRIENDS in the format of an interactive training workshop.

The training takes place over one full day (approx. 9:00am – 3:30pm), and all participants become certified facilitators of the program(s) they receive training in.

Staff in-service

Schools, community service providers and other organisations meeting our eligibility criteria can apply for an in-service day where one of our trainers will be sent to train your staff in the relevant FRIENDS programs.

A staff in-service day provides the opportunity to raise awareness of child and youth mental health in your school community or organisation, even if not all staff will be directly involved in running the program.  Many people find this training to be valuable on a personal as well as a professional level.

This option is suitable for groups ranging from 10 to 80 people.  If your group is small, we encourage you to invite other schools or organisations in your community to boost participant numbers.

Schools

Pupil-free days are the ideal opportunity to run the training workshop.  As these days are limited, please get in early to secure a date.  There is also the option of running the training across two shorter sessions.

If you are interested in arranging a staff in-service day, please complete the relevant application form, or contact us for more information.

** Important note to schools/organisations in rural and/or remote Queensland
As we have recently been granted funds from Talbot Family Foundation and Tim Fairfax Family Foundation, we have been able to provide on-line trainings and all resources completely free of charge for schools/organisations that meet our criteria. Contact us for further information!

Workshops

We hold regular workshops at our West End office in Brisbane for individuals working in schools or communities that meet our eligibility criteria. This option may be suitable where only a small number of identified staff members will be running the program, or for key staff members to attend before making the decision to run a full staff in-service day.

See our calendar for training dates.  Applications close 3 weeks before the workshop date, so please get in early to secure your place.
These dates are tentative and subject to change depending on demand.

Please complete the relevant application form, or contact us for more information.
