Our Vision

Our vision is to reach as many children as possible throughout Australia through providing professional development, support and resources to schools and community organisations that will enable them to implement the Fun FRIENDS, FRIENDS for Life and My FRIENDS programs in a sustainable fashion.

It is our hope to provide all children, regardless of location and background, with the opportunity to learn skills that will help them cope with life’s challenges.  We also hope to see a long-term reduction in the incidence of anxiety, depression and suicide in our young people as a result of the widespread dissemination of these programs.

In the future, it is hoped we are able to access funding that will enable us to

• Visit and disseminate the FRIENDS programs into areas beyond South East Queensland, including regional and remote communities;
• Supply activity books at no cost to all children and families involved in the programs through the Pathways to Resilience Trust;
• Work with members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to adapt the programs to be culturally sensitive within Indigenous populations;
• Conduct research on the programs to refine and tailor them to be applicable to communities of low-socio-economic status, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and Indigenous heritage; and
• Work in partnership with other community organisations and government bodies to further our cause.
